The player takes on the role of a gallery caretaker assigned to restore order to an eerie collection of paintings that have mysteriously shifted out of place. These notes seem to be written by spirits tied to the paintings, each with a tragic backstory. The caretaker must decipher these clues to uncover the dark fates of the gallery's ghostly inhabitants.

As the player progresses, they realize the notes are not just random writings but heartfelt laments or warnings tied to the souls trapped in the paintings. Whether it’s the grieving father whose bookshelf held a vital secret, the mother forever longing for her lost child, or the young boy clutching his teddy bear in eternal solitude, each spirit shares a unique tale of despair.
